Mario Gotze is a German attacking midfield player who plays for Borussia Dortmund . Gotze can also play as a forward, on the wing or in a false nine role as the central striker. Born on June 3rd 1992, Gotze began his career with Borussia Dortund, who he joined at the age of eight. Gotze was a member of the Dortmund side that won back-to-back league titles under Jurgen Klopp where he made a name for himself as just a teenager. The German international then moved to Bayern Munich controversially in 2013 after the Bavarian club triggered his release clause. He then rejoined Borussia Dortmund in 2016 after falling out of favour at Bayern.
