Krzysztof Piatek

Krzysztof Piatek is a Poland U21 international forward who currently plays for Hertha BSC. Born on 1st July 1995, the tall, powerful centre forward began his junior career in his hometown Dzierzoniow with Dziewiatka and Lechia clubs before being picked up by Ekstraklasa club Zaglebie Lubin in 2013. In between representing Lubin’s second side in the regional divisions, Piatek made a senior league debut in May 2014. During three years with the club he was a near ever-present, and played a pivotal role as the club gained promotion from 1 Liga in 2015/14 and featured in the UEFA Europa League qualifying matches in 2016. He moved to Cracovia Krakow for an undisclosed fee – believed to be £400,000 – in August 2016. Piatek has represented Poland up to U21 level, making a scoring debut in October 2015.
