Kasper Schmeichel is a Danish goalkeeper, born on November 5 1986, who plays for Leicester City. Schmeichel started his professional career with Manchester City, signing for the Citizens in 2002. A loan to Darlington saw the Dane make his first team debut, but instead of returning to City he was loaned out on several more occasions, until joining Notts County on a permanent deal in 2009.
Only two years later, Schmeichel left Notts County to join Leeds United. Although he didn’t want to leave Leeds, the Yorkshire club sold Schmeichel to Leicester City in the summer of 2011. He became a key player for the Foxes and was crucial in their 2015/16 title winning season. Schmeichel made his senior debut for Denmark in 2013, despite England investigating his eligibility.
