Julian Speroni is an Argentine goalkeeper currently playing for . Born on 18th May 1979, Speroni began his career his career in his homeland with Club Atlético Platense before 18 months in Brazil with Atlético Paranaense. His entrance to British football came via a free transfer to Dundee in July 2001 where he spent three seasons before newly-promoted Premier League side Crystal Palace for £750,000. Originally the back-up goalkeeper, Speroni became No1 in 2007 and went on to be named club him named Player of the Year for three seasons in a row. He has played in the Premier League and Championship for the Eagles – including a play-off final win against Watford in 2012/13. Following Steve Mandanda’s arrival in 2016, Speroni became third choice behind the Frenchman and Wayne Hennessey.
