Jesper Juelsgaard

Born on 26th January 1989, Juelsgard plays for AGF Aarhus. The left full-back has become one of AGF’s better-known players, owing to his brief experience in France with Evian Thonon Gaillard in 2014 – where he only played 13 Ligue 1 games before moving to Brondby in 2015. His move to France came after excelling at FC Midtjylland (FCM), where he was voted the Player of the Year in 2011, amassing 160 appearances and scoring twice. A product of FCM’s academy, he made his national team debut in August 2012 against Slovakia. Appreciated by fans for his dynamic style, pace, left foot and locker room presence, he made himself at home very quickly at AGF, netting on his league debut against FC Nordsjaelland. A left-back by trade, Juelsgard had to relearn his old position after Daniel Christensen left the club, having been used as a centre-back by Brondby.
