Islam Slimani is an Algerian forward who plays for Monaco. Born in Algiers on June 18, 1988, Slimani began his career playing for JSM Cheraga before moving to CR Belouizdad in 2009. Slimani then moved to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon where he spent three seasons scoring an impressive 48 goals 82 games. In August 2016, Leicester City signed the striker for a reported £28 million. In January 2018 he moved to Newcastle United on loan for six months.
