Henri Saivet

Henri Saivet is a Senegalese midfielder who plays for Newcastle United and was born on 26th October 1990. He began his career at Bordeaux in 2002 and played as a winger for the majority of his young career and the former French youth international was even touted as the “next Thierry Henry”. He made his senior debut in 2008 as a 17-year-old and during the 2012/13 season, he scored eight goals in 34 games. When Willy Sagnol arrived at Bordeaux in 2014, he converted Saivet into a combative central midfielder and after less than a year in that position he was signed by Newcastle United. He would play just four games and joined Saint-Etienne on loan in August 2016 with an option to buy.
