Hakim Ziyech is a Moroccan football player who plays for Chelsea as a winger. He was born on March 19th, 1993 in Dronten, Netherlands. Ziyech also plays for Morocco national team even though he was also eligible to play for the Netherlands.
The winger started his career at the local club in Dronten before he moved to Heerenveen in 2007 to develop in their youth academy. He made his debut for the senior team in 2012 and spent two years with the club before he became one of the main targets of many Dutch clubs. In the end, he moved to Twente.
At Twente, Ziyech further proved his quality and became known for his technique, passing and finishing, as well as his ability from set-pieces. After two years at Twente, he made transfer news when he was bought by Ajax in 2016 and then remained at the club for four years. During this time, he managed to win a domestic double and reach the finals of Europa League in 2018, as well as Champions League semi-finals in 2019. In 2020, Ziyech was bought by Chelsea.
Ziyech started his international career for Netherlands youth selections but decided to play for Morocco national team on the senior level. His debut for the team came in 2015 and he played in the 2018 World Cup for Morocco.
On the individual level, Ziyech was named Dutch Footballer of the Year in 2018, included in the Champions League Squad of the Season in 2019 and made the Eredivisie Team of the Year on three occasions. He was also the top assistant of the Dutch league four times.

This proved to be Twente, who paid around £3 million to bring him to the club. This time, he appeared in 68 games and scored 30 goals before Ajax came knocking. Once again, Ziyech beat transfer odds and moved to Amsterdam for a fee close to £10 million.
His career really took off at Ajax and the winger quickly became one of the most wanted players in entire Europe. According to football whispers and gossip, many big clubs were interested in his services, such as Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea. However, Chelsea was the team that offered the best conditions and Ziyech moved to Stamford Bridge for a fee of around £36 million.
This seems like a good choice for both parties since Ziyech matches the profile of the winger that Chelsea needs, so his more than likely to have a lot of chances to prove his worth on the biggest stage.
