Geronimo Rulli is a Argentine goalkeeper who plays for Montpellier. Born on 20th May 1992, Rulli was graduated from local Estudiantes' youth set-up, being promoted to the first-team squad in 2012. On 8 April 2013, Rulli played his first professional match as he started in a 0–1 defeat against Arsenal de Sarandi. In the same campaign, he appeared in a further 11 matches as well as establishing a record of 588 minutes without conceding. In the summer of 2014, Rulli was loaned out to La Liga side Real Sociedad for one year from Deportivo Maldonado as he completed 22 league appearances. The following summer, Real Sociedad decided to extend Rulli's loan-deal for another year. In July 2016, Rulli was signed by Manchester City for a fee rumoured to be around £4million. Once the deal was complete, Manchester City sold Rulli to Real Sociedad with a buy-back clause in his contract. In August 2016, Rulli represented Argentina during the Olympics, despite being eliminated from the group stages.
