George Waring

Born on 2nd December 1994, George Waring is an English striker who plays for Chester FC. A former member of the Everton academy – Waring scored the winning goal in the 2011 U18 Premier League Cup final – the 6’ 5” striker switched to the youth set-up at Stoke City in July 2013. Powerful in the air and able to link the play in the final third, Waring spent a loan spell at Barnsley in 2014/15 – scoring 6 goals in 19 games – before joining Oxford United in February 2016 and helping them secure promotion to League One. In August 2016 he signed for Shrewsbury Town on a six-month loan deal.
