Fernando Torres born on 20th March 1984 and plays forward for . Often renown as a club legend, ‘El Nino' spent his first twelve footballing years at the club he grew up supporting. In 2001 he made his first appearance at a senior level against CD Leganes, just a week later he scored his first goal against Albacete. During his tenure at Atletico he almost signed for Chelsea, but they failed with a €28 million bid, soon he was eventually in the Premier League playing for Liverpool. It was at this time he became a formidable striker who went on to have a goal per game ratio of 0.64, more than one every other game. With this form he joined then English champions, Chelsea. A British transfer record was made as Chelsea paid £50 million for his services, in his time at Chelsea he is often remembered for his iconic goal against FC Barcelona in the UCL semi-final. After failing to recapture his prime Liverpool form he joined AC Milan on a two year season loan. After a failed loan spell he rejoined the club it all began originally on loan but then permanently in the summer of 2015. He has played 267 games for Atleti scoring 98 goals in the process.
