Daniel Sturridge is an English forward who currently plays for Trabzonspor. Although he is occasionally used in different positions, Sturridge usually functions as a central striker at both club and international level. Sturridge was born on 1st September 1989 in Birmingham and began his youth career with Aston Villa and Coventry City before moving to Manchester City in 2006. The striker never broke into the first team at City and moved to Chelsea when his contract expired in 2009, with a fee agreed by a tribunal. The Birmingham-born forward was involved in the squads that won both the Premier League and Champions League with Chelsea before falling out of favour and moving to Liverpool in January 2013 for £12 million.
