Brad Smith is an Australian left-sided player, born on 9th April 1994, who plays for Seattle Sounders FC. Having been born in Sydney, Smith moved to England as a teenager to play for Liverpool, going on to make his debut for the Merseyside club in 2013. Spending a brief period at the start of the 2014-15 season on loan at Swindon Town, Smith gained valuable first team experience. Contract disputes with Liverpool saw Smith’s career in a brief period of turmoil during the summer of 2015, although these were eventually resolved and Smith made several first team appearances during the 2015-16 campaign. In July 2016, Smith moved to Bournemouth for £6 million, with Liverpool including a buy-back clause in the deal. Despite representing England at several youth levels, Smith won his first senior cap for Australia in 2014.
