André-Pierre Gignac, born 5th December 1985, is a French striker who plays for Tigres. Gignac creates a strong presence when leading any attack by leading the line from the centre and giving wide players a target in the box to whip in a cross. After starting his career as a bright young French talent, which kicked off professionally at FC Lorient in France, he moved to Toulouse in 2007. The first two years went off without a hitch, and while his final season with the club was tenuous he secured a move to defending league champions Marseille in 2010. After his five year contract ran out, Gignac chose to take his talent to Mexico, where Tigres fans have lauded his contributions.
