World Cup Group F Predictions

Here you will find some of the most interesting World Cup Group F predictions out there. Remember to check the odds before placing your bet!

Belgium vs Morocco – Over 2.5 goals @ 9/10 (1.90)

Belgium certainly didn’t perform as well as we all hoped in the game against Canada at the start of the World Cup a few days ago. Canada were the superior team on the pitch and they missed a bunch of good opportunities to score. In the 11th minute of the game, Canada were awarded a penalty and Alphonso Davies was given the task to score. He failed and the score remained 0:0. Nevertheless, Canada did manage to show they are no pushovers as they made a total of 24 shots at target, compared to Belgium’s 9.

We are certain that this game against Canada would’ve served as a wake-up call for the Belgians and we will get to see a far better team against Morocco. Kevin De Bruyne too missed a few good opportunities to make the result on the scoreboard more convincing. We are also certain that in this game, coach Roberto Martinez isn’t going to gamble anymore. He’s going to play Romelu Lukaku as a starter and we all know what his capabilities in front of the goal are. Morocco performed well against Croatia and they missed a bunch of good opportunities. The Belgium vs Morocco game in Group F of the World Cup is destined to have plenty of goals.

Croatia vs Canada – Croatia to win @ 3/4 (1.75)

Luka Modric and his teammates would have to perform at a very high level in order to get the three points against Canada. The Canadians showed they are no pushovers against Belgium. Sure, they lost with a narrow 1:0 result but they won our hearts with the fascinating football they showed. If they perform even as half as well as they did against Belgium, then Croatia is in a lot of trouble.

The FIFA World Cup 2018 finalists are favorites to win the game against Canada but they’ll have to show us something else than what we’ve seen from the team in the game against Morocco. The Croatians were far too static and looked uninterested on many occasions. We are certain that the champion mentality hasn’t left the team and we have yet to see the very best from Croatia. The two teams have never played against each other so it’s hard to say how they’ll perform in this game but Croatia is the better team. At least on paper. The lack of experience was the reason for Canada’s failure in the first World Cup game. The lack of experience will cost them the three points again.

This group is composed of 4 teams from countries that have not won a World Cup since the beginning of their history. However, the teams look strong and defiant. Each team has been building up over the years for this big moment, where it may be their turn to win. Although only two will make it to the next round, all are believed to have great potential for these two important places.

Belgium, the star of the group

The team is known as ‘Les Diables Rouges’ (Red Devils), after the colour of their kit. They have participated in 13 World Cups and finished third in the 2018 World Cup after failing to reach the semi-finals against France. But they were also outstanding in World Cups such as the 1986 World Cup, where they finished fourth. As well as the 2014 World Cup, where it came sixth. This is how, year after year, this World Cup Group F has managed to emerge and add more achievements to its bag. This year, anything could happen in Qatar.

Players who made a difference

This World Cup Group F team has some advantages with their squad. It is not one of the youngest, but it is full of talent. Their team is recognised as a very experienced one, and for this Cup, they are expected to live up to high standards.

Croatia, the unstoppable

This team of the World Cup Group F has been active since 1940, although independent from Yugoslavia since 1990. Since then, they have attended five World Cups, with good performances, despite being so new in the field.

They may not have won first place, as they would have liked, but they did win third place at the 1998 World Cup in France. Years later, at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, they took second place in the tournament. The national team is considered one of the best in the FIFA rankings.

Players and other highlights

More than 200 players have played for the national team. Some of the most important players have been Davor Šuker (the top scorer in its history and Zvonimir Boban. As well as Robert Prosinečki, Robert Jarni, Mario Stanić or Goran Vlaović. The current captain is Luka Modrić.

Morocco, African power

The national team has participated in 5 World Cups (1970, 1986, 1994, 1998, 2018). Currently waiting to participate in the Qatar, 2022 one. They were the first country from the Arab world and Africa to reach the round of 16 at the World Cup Mexico, 1986.

This member of the World Cup Group F had an outstanding performance at the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations. There, they opened with a narrow win over Nigeria, then a 4-0 win over Benin and a 1-1 draw with South Africa. In the quarter-finals, they beat Algeria 3-1, before beating Mali 4-0 in the semi-finals. However, in the final, the Moroccans missed the chance to win their second title by losing 1-2 to hosts Tunisia.

This team is thirsty for victory and you can see that they are betting on everything to go further. They have not given up on going far, and little by little, they have been getting there.

Canada, CONCACAF’s surprise

In World Cup Group F, you could say that there is a comparison between Canada and Morocco. Although both teams have great skills and strong squads, they have struggled to earn the top spot in this battle of two.

There are different opinions about this, but what is certain is that Canada is no slouch in this World Cup. They could be the weakest team in this World Cup Group F, or they could rise from the ashes. What is certain, however, is that they have achieved feats difficult for any other team to repeat.

Achievements in their history

This World Cup Group F member of this World Cup 2022, has participated 1 time in the World Cup. It attended, as one of the 24 countries called up, the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. It was successful in qualifying for the World Cup, although it failed in the first round, being defeated by the 3 opponents in its group at the time.

Likewise, one of its greatest achievements was to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar 2022, beating the Cayman Islands 11-0. It has had 15 appearances in the Gold Cup, obtaining the best result in 1985 and 2000. It also participated in the CONCACAF Nations League, finishing fifth.

Valuable players

Throughout their trajectory, we can distinguish some valuable footballers. These are Junior Hoilett, Cyle Larin (one of their best strikers), Jonathan David, Lucas Cavallini and Alphonso Davies. Most of their squad is young and full of potential. Although they might be missing some secret ingredient for this World Cup. That remains to be seen.
