Who could replace Neymar at PSG?

Given the most recent Neymar transfer update, it looks as though the 31-year-old striker might be leaving PSG before the transfer window closes. Of course, if this does happen, there is a natural question that then needs to be answered. That question is who would replace Neymar at PSG? After all, the Brazilian striker is still considered one of the best forwards in the world when he is fit and healthy.

Neymar PSG Replacement

Therefore, he’s not exactly an easy guy to replace, even for a club as mighty as PSG. Yet in the transfer market, as with anything, where there is a will there's a way. And I have every confidence that PSG could work some magic to replace Neymar pretty quickly if necessary. With that said, exactly who would be an appropriate Neymar replacement at PSG if he leaves the club? Let’s explore a couple of feasible options right now.

Randal Kolo Muani – Frankfurt

The good news for PSG is that they have already bagged a solid striker this summer in the form of Goncalo Ramos. But let’s not forget – if Neymar leaves, no matter how good Goncalo Ramos is, he can’t perform at his best without a great team around him. This is where the possible replacement of Randal Kolo Muani enters the picture, as PSG has been linked to the Frankfurt striker in recent times. As I’m sure you are aware, Muani plays for the French national team, and he is one of their best assets when he finds top form.

Of course, the French connection makes this move quite intriguing already. Yet adding to that, since Frankfurt has reportedly set a €100 million price tag for Muani, should the Neymar deal with Al Hilal be done, this would seem a direct and solid replacement.

Dusan Vlahovic – Juventus

Yes – it’s Dusan Vlahovic starring in the story of yet another transfer rumor. Despite being linked with clubs all over Europe in recent weeks, Vlahovic still hasn’t signed for anyone. In fact, when you check the latest odds for where he will play next season, Juventus are now the odds on favorites to keep him there. But all is not lost concerning Vlahovic’s departure from the Italian side. In fact, with recent negotiations resulting in no move for Vlahovic, PSG could well see him as a great replacement for Neymar.

He is worth around €70 million at the high end of current estimates, which makes the deal feasible. And to make things all the more likely, it wasn’t all that long ago that PSG had supposedly agreed to ‘personal terms’ with Vlahovic to bring him to the club.
