Ahead of the transfer window opening in January, some of the Continent’s biggest clubs are preparing moves for their top targets.
Here are today’s top five Whispers…
Glen Johnson to Barcelona – 3.9
In what would be one of the most surprising transfers of the year, Stoke City full-back Glen Johnson is reportedly a target for Spanish champions Barcelona.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are looking to add an experienced right-back in January, and the 32-year-old England international is on their shortlist.
Oscar to Juventus – 2.0
With Antonio Conte switching to a 3-4-3 formation in recent weeks, Brazilian midfielder Oscar has found himself without a place in the Chelsea line-up.
The Express is reporting that Conte’s former team Juventus could take advantage of this situation by making a January swoop for the 25-year-old.
Iñaki Williams to Liverpool – 1.9
According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Liverpool are set to make a January bid for Athletic Club star Iñaki Williams.
The 22-year-old has earned rave reviews in Spain since his 2014 debut, and the Reds could be about to make a €40 million bid for the speedy Basque forward.
David Alaba to Man City – 1.8
Pep Guardiola has spent around £170 million in the transfer market since becoming Manchester City manager.
But the Catalan tactician is supposedly unhappy with his full-back options and will look to improve that area of his squad in January.
The Mirror believes that City will make a £40 million move for Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba.
Kevin Strootman to Everton – 3.1
Tuttomercato in Italy is reporting that Everton will make a £17.1 million bid for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman in January.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is thought to be on the lookout for a long-term replacement for 35-year-old Gareth Barry, and Strootman is viewed as the ideal candidate.
