Aaron Ramsey seems unlikely to extend his stay at Arsenal beyond next summer despite his impressive, match-altering substitute appearance in the victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

The Welshman is out of contract at the end of the campaign and his wage demands are, according to several reports, too high for the Gunners to match. Talks over a new deal were halted earlier in the campaign and there is little sign they will be restarted.

So in this week's episode of Three Minute Myths, we travelled to the Emirates ahead of the North London Derby to ask Gunners fans whether they thought Arsenal should be doing more to keep the midfielder.

And then we ran his numbers to see whether doing so would be worth it.

It remains to be seen whether Ramsey's performance off-the-bench against Spurs will have swayed support for a new contract in the stands, but if Arsenal are wise to the data behind his longer-term form, they are best sticking to their guns on this one.

The 27-year-old may be entering the peak of his career but the numbers suggest he isn't worth the money he's demanding…
