The impact Maurizio Sarri has made at Chelsea this season shouldn't be understated.

The Italian replaced Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge after pre-season had started. He had just three weeks to implement a radical tactical shift. And he wasn't given the signings he needed until late in the transfer window.

Yet we're now over two months into the 2018/19 campaign and the Blues are the only English top flight side yet to taste defeat in any competition.

The Italian has transformed Chelsea. Last season they defended deep and looked to launch counter-attacks. This term their backline is pushed high up the pitch and the Blues look to dominate games through possession.

The impact has been marked. They've struck 20 goals in nine Premier League games – a tally only bettered by Manchester City and Arsenal – and kept four clean sheets.

So here's the question: what has Sarri improved most? Defence or attack? That is what we asked Chelsea fans this weekend ahead of their pulsating 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

You may think you know the answer to that question but we delved into the stats and the results were surprising…
