Cyprus vs Spain Lineups and Last Match
Cyrpus
Cyprus made the trip to Georgia for their last Euro 2024 qualifier hoping to end their losing streak. However, the home side dominated the match scoring four second-half goals without reply. That defeat leaves Cyprus still without a point in Group A having scored just two goals and conceded a whopping twenty-five, so this has no doubt been a disastrous performance for Temur Ketsbaia's team. Both defending and attacking have been weak points for Cyprus in this qualifying campaign and it will be interesting to see if Mall keeps his place in goal or if the manager decides to go with the more experienced Panagi while up front, Christofi and Sotiriou need better service if they are going to add to their combined 21 international goals.
Predicted Lineup – Mall (GK), Kyriakou, Karo, Ioannou, Kousoulos, Andreou, Christofi, Gogić, Kastanos, Spoljaric & Kyprianou
Spain
Spain would have been expecting a tough game away against Norway with Haaland and Odegaard both playing the ninety minutes. In the end, a close and competitive match that produced six yellow cards was decided by a single goal early in the second half from Barcelona midfielder Gavi. The teenager netted his fifth goal for his country to put Spain top of the group ahead of Scotland on goal difference. Laporte has not been selected for the latest Spain squad despite playing the ninety minutes against Norway, while Kepa, Azpilicueta, Nacho, Pedri, Koke, Soler, Thiago, Fati, Pino, Olmo, Asensio and Moreno also miss out.
Predicted Lineup – Simón (GK), Carvajal, P. Torres, Le Normand, García, Ruiz, Rodri, Gavi, Morata, F. Torres & Oyarzabal

Player to Watch: Gavi
Barcelona and Spain star Gavi continues to get better and better with each game that passes.
The teenage midfielder scored Spain's winning goal against Norway last time out and has found the back of the net five times in twenty-five caps for his country. Gavi remains a key player in the Barcelona team playing in fifteen matches and scoring two goals so far this season.
It's rare to see a teenager featuring so heavily for club and country at such an early age but that just goes to show how impressive Gavi is. This is the youngster's third full season as a Barcelona player and he has already made over one hundred appearances for the Spanish giants.
Gavi is in good form right now and we expect the teenager to control the game against Cyprus from midfield, dictating the tempo, creating chances for his teammates and getting into goalscoring positions against a team that has a terrible defensive record.
