  • Southampton are unbeaten in their last three meetings with Birmingham, claiming a 3-1 win in the pair's reverse league fixture in October.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Southampton the favourite

  • HOME: 10/3 (4.33) – 23.1%
  • DRAW: 37/13 (3.85) – 26%

Southampton are the expected winners of this game with a probability of 54.1%, and we tend to agree with this selection.

Birmingham have seen their form improve of late, especially at home, while Southampton have slipped up a few times of late but should still have more than enough about them to secure all three points this weekend.

Player to watch – Adam Armstrong

Adam Armstrong always seems to perform well in the Championship but will be desperate to prove his worth in the Premier League with Southampton next season.

Armstrong scored an impressive 28 goals in his last Championship campaign with Blackburn Rovers before joining Southampton in the Premier League where he only scored four goals in two seasons.

Scoring and creating goals on a regular basis

The Saint's striker is back to his best following Southampton's relegation to the Championship, scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances so far. We're backing Armstrong to put in another good performance in front of goal against Birmingham on Saturday.
