Arsenal

  • If the opening weekend of the Premier League taught us anything, it was that Arsenal need defenders. Fast! £28 million Shkodran Mustafi is top of the list. (FW Index 4.7)
  • The links to Riyad Mahrez aren’t going away either. Leicester City don’t want to sell their star man, who scored a penalty in the champions’ shock 2-1 opening day defeat at Hull City, but Arsenal aren’t taking no for an answer, apparently. (4.0)

Bournemouth

  • Stoke City’s Mark Wilson has emerged as a serious contender for a switch to Bournemouth – and was spotted in the stands during yesterday's 3-1 loss to Manchester United. (4.8)
  • Manchester City’s Jason Denayer is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs. Bournemouth are among those tracking the 21-year-old defender. (2.2)

Burnley

  • Former Manchester United target Steven Defour appears to finally be closing in on a move to Turf Moor, as reports today claim the Belgian midfielder has flown in for a medical. (4.9)
  • Burnley could also be about to offer Aston Villa’s Ashley Westwood a chance to return to the Premier League. (1.2)
  • Newcastle United’s Paul Dummett has been linked with a move to Burnley for a while now, but this Whisper is fading fast. (1.0)

Kalidou Koulibaly napoli

Chelsea

  • Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli is still the man Antonio Conte has earmarked to bolster his Chelsea defence. The centre-back will likely cost around £40 million. (4.5)
  • Brazilian midfielder Kenedy is all set for a season's loan move to Watford in search of first-team football. (4.2)
  • Target Romelu Lukaku sat out the Toffees' draw with Tottenham on Saturday after requiring stitches in a heel injury from the friendly against Esapnyol. (4.0)

Crystal Palace

  • Yannick Bolasie has officially left Crystal Palace to join Everton, signing a five-year deal in the North West.
  • Some, if not all, of the reported £25 million received for Bolasie could go on Liverpool’s Christian Benteke who could be set to swap Merseyside for Selhurst Park. (4.5)
  • Eagles' skipper Mile Jedinak has taken flight to Aston Villa, just the formalities remain before the switch is announced. (4.9)

Everton

  • Yannick Bolasie has finally been confirmed as an Everton player on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £22.5 million plus £2.5 million in add-ons.
  • Romelu Lukaku could be on his way out of Goodison park. The player is said to be keen to return to former club Chelsea, but will the Blues make Everton an offer they can’t refuse? (4.0)
  • Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic could be a contender to take Lukaku’s place, after the former Blackburn Rovers striker impressed in Serie A last season. (3.2)

Hull City

  • Mainz midfielder Fabian Frei is attracting admiring glances from Hull City, as the Tigers consider a swoop for the 27-year-old Swiss. (2.7)
  • DeAndre Yedlin is wanted by Sunderland, but Hull are ready to rival the Black Cats for the American. (1.7)
  • Abel Hernández may have lost out to Adama Diomande for the Tigers' first goal in their shock win over Leicester City on the opening day – but the Uruguayan continues to be linked with Aston Villa. (1.2)

Jeffrey Schlupp leicester

Leicester City

  • Jeffrey Schlupp tops the Whispers' Index (at the time of writing) and is on the verge of leaving the Premier League champions in favour of West Bromwich Albion. (4.9)
  • Arsenal have not given up hope of coaxing Riyad Mahrez out of the King Power Stadium, but Leicester do not want to sell. (4.0)
  • In terms of incomings, the Foxes are thought to be at the front of the queue to sign highly-rated Santos 19-year-old Gabriel “Gabigol” Barbosa. (4.0)

Liverpool

  • Christian Benteke is moving closer to sealing a switch to Crystal Palace but the Reds are said to be holding out to recoup most of the £32 million they paid Aston Villa for the Belgian a year ago. (4.8)
  • Left-back Alberto Moreno did little in Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Arsenal at the weekend to halt rumours that Jürgen Klopp will replace the Spaniard with FC Köln’s Jonas Hector. (3.3)
  • Whispers of Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard's loan switch from Real Madrid have surfaced again today. (2.1)

Manchester City

  • Joe Hart was left out for Manchester City’s line-up against Sunderland at the weekend. Everton would be happy to take the England goalkeeper. (3.0)
  • Pep Guardiola has both of Barcelona's stoppers in mind should he replace Hart – Claudio Bravo (2.7) and Marc-Andre ter Stegen (1.7), although the latter is out with a knee injury currently.

Manchester United

  • José Mourinho has spent £160 million this summer, and he isn’t finished yet. Southampton’s José Fonte is wanted to add experience to the Manchester United defence (3.9)
  • Juan Mata continues to be linked with Everton, but the latest reports suggest Mourinho has been won over by the Spaniard’s performances – including a goal in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth yesterday. (2.6)
  • West Bromwich Albion are keen on Cameron Borthwick-Jackson. The young defender might be available on loan. (2.1)

Middlesbrough

  • Middlesbrough want Everton midfielder Brendan Galloway (1.6), but they face competition from local rivals Newcastle United. (1.9)
  • Boro were thought to be closing in on the loan signing of Andreas Pereira from Manchester United, but this Whisper has cooled significantly in recent days. (1.6)

Southampton

  • The Saints could be set to lose José Fonte, as Manchester United are sniffing around the experienced defender. (3.9)
  • They could replace him with Jason Denayer (2.3), but Sunderland and Swansea City are also chasing the Manchester City youngster (2.2)
  • Charlie Austin is one creeping up on the rails – Everton (3.9) have shown their interest as have former club QPR according to the London press.

Stoke City

  • Defender Mark Wilson is thought to be closing in on a move to Bournemouth. (4.8)
  • The Potters are still chasing Saido Berahino, but it is looking more likely that the England under-21 international will stay with West Brom for another season. (1.3)

Sunderland

  • Liam Bridcutt is drawing closer to a move to Leeds United, in a Whisper that has been rumbling for some time. (3.9)
  • Sunderland are leading the chase to sign Jason Denayer from Manchester City. The 21-year-old Belgian is highly rated but wants to leave City for first-team football. (2.9)
  • David Moyes has told Ronald Koeman that Ivorian defender Lamine Koné will be going nowhere until a replacement is found – an £18 million bid has been made by Everton. (3.4)

Swansea City

  • Swansea City are another side interested in taking Jason Denayer, but Sunderland are thought to be at the front of the queue for the Belgian. (2.2)
  • The Swans have been linked with a move for Nacer Chadli for weeks, but the Belgian remains a Spurs player. (1.0)
  • One of Iceland's Euro 2016 heroes, defender Ragnar Sigurdsson could be one to watch in the coming days.

Tottenham Hotspur

  • Nabil Bentaleb could be set for a Spurs exit, with Serie A giants Lazio in the running to sign the 21-year-old. (2.6)
  • Portuguese midfielder Adrien Silva could be drafted in to add further steel to the Tottenham Hotspur midfield. (3.0)
  • DeAndre Yedlin is wanted to bolster Hull City's threadbare squad (1.7), while Sunderland  would like to take the American back to the Stadium of Light. (1.3)

Watford

  • Watford are hoping that the promise of regular first-team football will be enough to lure Kenedy to Vicarage Road from Chelsea. (4.2)
  • Juventus are listening to offers for Roberto Pereyra this summer, and Watford are credited with an interest in the Argentinian. (2.9)
  • Experienced Espanyol midfielder Javi Fuego has also emerged as a target for the Hornets. (2.4)

West Bromwich Albion

  • The Baggies are on the brink of signing Jeffrey Schlupp from champions Leicester City. (4.9)
  • West Brom also want Liverpool’s Christian Benteke, but they could be set for disappointment, as Crystal Palace are favourites to sign the powerful striker. (3.7)
  • Jonny Evans continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, as Arsène Wenger takes to the transfer market to patch up his injury-ravaged defence. (2.9)

West Ham United

  • Andy Carroll is being considered as a back-up option by Crystal Palace, should the Eagles fail to land Christian Benteke. (3.0)
  • Winger Rachid Ghezzal impressed for Lyon last season, stepping in for the injured Nabil Fekir, and West Ham want the 24-year-old to join them. (2.0)
  • Pedro Obiang is attracting interest from Serie A, with Fiorentina keen on the midfielder. (1.4)
