The curtain has come down on the 2016/17 Premier League season. It was one of the most competitive to date with six teams vying for four Champions League places and six teams trying to avoid the dreaded drop.

Since the inception of the Premier League it's the first time five teams have finished with a goal difference of +30 or more. Champions League stalwarts Arsenal missed out on a place in the top four for the first time in 21 years. Spurs ended a 22-year hoodoo to finish above the Gunners. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola finished a season as a manager without silverware.

Here at Football Whispers we've taken a look at the winners from this memorable season.

It was to be expected with Guardiola as their manager but Man City dominated the ball. However, like so many have said before, possession doesn't always equate to victories and the Catalan-born coach could only manage a third place finish in his debut campaign in the Premier League.
