The obvious bet heading into this game is Portugal to win but the betting odds means the value doesn't really stack up; throw in that they'll keep a clean sheet whilst doing so though and you've got an interesting bet. Portugal have conceded just three goals in their last 10 home matches and have won eight of them; that includes victories over sides like Holland and Croatia too. Israel's away form pretty ‘blergh' as well; they've lost six of their previous 10.

This handicap prediction is rather a bold one given we're backing Portugal to win minus one goal but the form Portugal have shown of late certainly backs it up. In their last five home matches they've recorded a combined score line of 11-1! When you consider they've faced both Spain and France in that run, it's damn impressive. Israel haven't been taken apart by anyone since Poland put four past them back in 2019 but the best side they've faced in that time is probably Czech Republic; they're not anywhere close to being as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and co.

Israel might have won two on the spin but you have to feel sorry for them heading into this match against Portugal. The Portuguese are often labelled as the Ronaldo team courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo being the main man. They're far from a one man side though; it wasn't too long ago that they hit Andorra for seven with five different goal scorers including the ‘wonderkid' Joao Felix. Israel's bigger names all occupy the attacking positions with Manor Solomon perhaps the key one to watch after his impressive season with Shakhtar. Unfortunately, for him, we're not sure he'll be doing much offensive work.
