The decision-making process about how to resolve the Vanarama National League season is approaching its conclusion, with clubs set to submit their votes on a proposed structure ahead of Monday's deadline.

Promotion and playoffs are on the cards in the National League, but there's controversy in the National League North and South – government regulations look likely to prohibit any playoffs taking place and only one team from each division may end up being promoted.

That would mean a huge sigh of relief for the likes of AFC Fylde and Ebbsfleet United, but National League bottom club Chorley would still be on the chopping block as far as relegation is concerned.
