Rangers will be delighted that the international break is over as they look to record an elusive third consecutive win. They have yet to record three victories in a row this season, but that could change when they take on Hamilton Academical this Saturday.

They currently sit fourth in the Scottish Premiership table but have a game in hand on third-placed Hibernian and are only six points behind league leaders and fierce city rivals Celtic. Another three points this weekend would be an excellent way to return to league action.

Rangers have yet to appoint a new manager since dismissing Pedro Caixinha, meaning development squad head coach Graeme Murty will continue to stand in. He has already led the team to wins over Heart of Midlothian and Partick Thistle, he is making a strong case to be handed the top job.

For that to happen he will need to keep winning, and he is helped in this regard by the fact that there are no new injury worries. Influential midfielder Graham Dorrans (knee) and left-back Lee Wallace (groin) remain absent, but centre-back Fábio Cardoso could return having taken part in a testimonial match in midweek.

The Portuguese could return to the back line, though Murty may decide against changing a winning team. That should mean Kenny Miller continuing up front with Alfredo Morelos, while Ryan Jack and Jason Holt start in midfield.

Kick-off for Rangers’ clash with Hamilton is set for 3pm and the match will not be televised.
