Celtic will be aiming to maintain their dominant position atop the Scottish Premiership table when they return to league action after the international break with a trip to face Ross County.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have been in good form recently, dispatching Aberdeen 3-0 away from home to seal top spot, competing with Bayern Munich in Champions League duty and breaking a 100-year British record for consecutive domestic games undefeated with a 4-0 win over St. Johnstone.

Thanks to those good performances, Celtic are three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and have hope of a good run in the Europa League. However, they will have to be wary against a resurgent Ross County outfit.

Since Owen Coyle took charge, they have won three of six games, picking up ten points from a possible 18 to move up eighth in the table. Having previously been involved in a relegation dogfight, they are now looking up at the top six with real ambition.

Celtic will monitor the fitness of Jozo Šimunović, but the centre-back has been out for a while with achilles tendon problems. Patrick Roberts has also missed out recent games due to a knock and may not yet be fully fit.

Kick-off for Celtic’s clash with Ross County is set for 12:30pm, and the match will be televised on BT Sport 1.
