Burnley will be looking to continue their fine start under in-demand manager Sean Dyche on Monday evening when seventh-placed Newcastle United visit Turf Moor.

Dyche had been linked with the vacant Leicester City manager's job before Claude Puel was appointed on Wednesday.

The Clarets, a place below the Magpies in eighth, will be sweating on the fitness of top scorer Chris Wood (hamstring) who hobbled off with a hamstring injury against Manchester City. He will undergo a late fitness test.

Dyche is also hopeful that Sam Vokes (abdominal) will make a return to take his place by the time the two sides meet. Dyche will once again be without long-term absentees Tom Heaton (shoulder) and Jonathan Walters (knee).

In their last outing, Burnley were beaten 3-0 by Pep Guardiola's free scoring Manchester City. However, with City having put seven past Stoke, you'd be forgiven for thinking that was a reasonable result away from home.

Our unique algorithm has predicted the Burnley side it believes is most likely to start.

Football Whispers uses data to predict the starting line-ups for sides by accounting for a number of different factors, including injuries, suspensions, the statistical likelihood to play, the match the competition is played, the player’s previous performance and the style of the opposition.

But you can also give it a go yourself. Just click ‘create your own’ on the line-up at the top of the page and pick the XI players you would choose, and you can also see their stats once you’ve picked them.
