New manager bounce to see Posh to win
On a straight form basis, there is very little to choose between these sides. Peterborough have lost four of their last five games drawing one whilst Hull have lost three and drawn two of their past five outings. The reason we lean towards a Peterborough win is largely down to the Grant McCann factor. McCann was sacked by Hull not that long ago and, now, he's been appointed as Peterborough's boss with his first game in charge this one. News of the new boss' appointment broke before Posh's game with Fulham in the week and they put in a much improved performance. If they put in a similar display against Hull, they'll win the game.
A low scoring match
Our next tip for this game is that it will be lacking goals; specifically, we are going for under 2.5 goals. We've already touched on the poor form both sides have shown and that sort of run will rarely lead to goal filled games. Peterborough have gone under 2.5 goals in three of their past five matches averaging just 1.8 goals per game. Hull meanwhile have gone under 2.5 in four of their last five with an average that is exactly the same – 1.8. Three of the last four meetings between these sides where Peterborough are the home side have ended south of the 2.5 mark.

Peterborough vs Hull: It's predicted lineup time
Is it being a tad dramatic to label this match up as the ‘Grant McCann derby'? Given that both of these sides are still at risk of relegation and both will have seen McCann take charge of games for them throughout this season come Saturday, we would suggest not.
Peterborough Predicted Lineup
Peterborough are in serious danger of dropping into League One. Last weekend they lost a relegation six pointer to Derby and whilst this game is perhaps less than a six pointer, a loss would be devastating. It feels like the only hope the Posh have is a new manager bounce.
Predicted lineup – Benda, Kent, Knight, Edwards, Burrows, Norburn, Brown, Szmodics, Grant, Clarke-Harris, Ward
Hull Predicted Lineup
Hull aren't quite safe from the threat of relegation yet but a win over the manager that brought them up last season would probably be good enough to see them clear of relegation danger. An away trip to a club with a new gaffer in the dugout will be far from easy though; they could get dragged back into the scrap to survive.
Predicted lineup – Cartwright, Bernard, McLoughlin, Greaves, Fleming, Slater, Smallwood, Longman, Honeyman, Lewis-Potter, Forss
