Perth vs West Ham Lineups, Preview, and Team Information

Perth

The home team finished ninth in last season's A-league championship, and the club from Perth will have to do a better job in keeping with the best teams in the country. Their transfer dealings so far this summer haven't been great, the only player arriving was goalkeeper Oliver Sail on a free transfer. Some players left the team like Jack Clisby, Keegan Jelacic, Matt Hatch, Mitchell Oxborrow, and Brad Jones. Perth have plenty of experience playing against top European sides in their friendly encounters and a visit from a recent Europe Conference League champions will give the fans a glimpse at one of the most notable English clubs.

Provisional lineup: Sail, Lachman, Elsey, Beevers, Forde, Bodnar, McEneff, Amini, Williams, Colli, Taggart.

West Ham

After Declan Rice left the club to join Arsenal, the West Ham fans are looking carefully at who will replace their best player. Even though Rice's stats haven't been top-notch, his influence on the team was outstanding and it will be hard to get equal value whoever joins the club as a replacement. The problem is that the West Ham brass has failed to bring in any new players thus far, it seems they were waiting for a massive transfer of money arriving from the Rice deal to spend on new players. Besides Rice, Arthur Masuaku and Manuel Lanzini also left. Italian forward Gianluca Scamacca is injured and won't be able to play in the game.

Provisional lineup: Areola, Aguerd, Ogbonna, Johnson, Kehrer, Soucek, Coventry, Fornals, Downes, Bowen, Ings.

Player to Watch: Jarrod Bowen

He is one of the most valuable players left at West Ham, the 26-year-old is entering his fourth season at the London club. He has been playing regularly for the Conference League champions and in his time at West Ham, Bowen accumulated 158 appearances with 40 goals scored and 31 assists delivered. These are some impressive numbers for a player that usually performs in the midfield.

Bowen was also capped by England on four occasions. His work rate has been top notch and the fans will look for him to change the game in some ways to make up the void left by Declan Rice's transfer. Bowen should have his role even more increased in the new season.

Starting lineups

Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.
