In our Nigerian players in Serie A feature, we take a look at some of the best Super Eagles stars in the Italian top flight and the odds of them scoring for their club teams in the next round of league fixtures.
To make it interesting, we have included five ‘double accumulators' in where we pick two players to score in selected fixtures and combine the odds, making for a potentially highly-profitable accumulator.
Goalscorer tips for Nigerian players in Serie A – Our latest picks
Victor Osimhen (Napoli vs Cagliari) & Nwankwo Simy (Salernitana vs Monza) – 24/5
Osimhen also features in our second double accumulator pick, but this time with Salernitana striker Simy. They are bottom of the league, but to have any chance of survival, they need to win their home games, starting with Monza over the weekend.
The latter are stranded in mid-table with not much to play for, so Salernitana need to attack this match with all they have. Simy started five straight league games before an injury kept him out of their 0-0 draw at Torino earlier this month, and after a cameo from the bench against Inter Milan last time out, he will be hoping to return to the starting line-up with a bang.
Victor Osimhen (Napoli vs Cagliari) & Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan vs Atalanta) – 51/10
Osimhen is favourite to score anytime for Napoli at Cagliari on Sunday, and so the Nigerian superstar features on this particularly appealing double accumulator with Milan's Chukwueze, who made his return to the side in their 4-2 defeat at Monza last time out, after representing Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Osimhen has netted seven times in Serie A despite missing a large chunk through injury and AFCON, while Milan will be desperate to bounce back from a disappointing defeat, and Chukwueze could help them should he start again.
Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan vs Atalanta) & Nwankwo Simy (Salernitana vs Monza) – 73/10
This double accumulator does not involve Osimhen, but could be highly profitable should both Chukwueze and Simy turn up for their respective clubs and lead them to victory.
Chukwueze will be hoping for another chance to impress Stefano Pioli having started against Monza last weekend, while Simy is also pushing for a start having just returned from injury, and will be relied on for goals if Salernitana have any hope of staying up.
Victor Osimhen (Napoli vs Cagliari) & Isaac Success (Udinese vs Genoa) – 39/5
The third and final double accumulator pick involving Osimhen also includes Success, as Udinese take on Genoa with only two places separating the sides in the table. The Nigerian has been limited to substitute appearances of late, so would need to make a significant impact for this accumulator to come through.
Success is also yet to score in 21 appearances in all competitions so far this season, so while this double accumulator is a long shot, it would yield significant profit should it be successful.
Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan vs Atalanta) & Isaac Success (Udinese vs Genoa) – 103/10
A combination of Chukwueze to score for Milan against fourth-placed Atalanta and Success to net his first goal this season is a big outsider in terms of our double accumulator picks, but one that could be worth a go should both teams win.
Third-placed Milan will be looking to bounce back from defeat against Monza and widen the gap between them and Atalanta, while Udinese know victory would steer them a precious six points clear of the relegation zone.
