Man United Christmas betting tips – Last 10 Boxing Day results

Man United 3-0 Nottingham Forest – 27th December 2022

United did not play on Boxing Day last season, but comfortably beat Forest in their first post-Christmas clash, as Marcus Rashford scored and assisted while Anthony Martial also got on the scoresheet.

Newcastle 1-1 Man United – 27th December 2021

Again, United played the day after Boxing Day in the 2021/22 season, as they drew away at Newcastle in the first dropped points of the Ralf Rangnick era.

Leicester 2-2 Man United – Boxing Day 2020

The last time United played on Boxing Day was in 2020, as Rashford and Bruno Fernandes got on the scoresheet to earn a draw in what was a top-three clash at the time.

Man United 4-1 Newcastle – Boxing Day 2019

Another festive fixture against Newcastle saw United dismantle them at Old Trafford, with Martial grabbing a brace and Rashford on the scoresheet again.

Man United 3-1 Huddersfield – Boxing Day 2018

Paul Pogba scored a brace as United won in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first home game as interim manager, before later taking the job permanently.

Man United 2-2 Burnley – Boxing Day 2017

The first dropped home points in this list as a Jesse Lingard double was not enough for United to earn three points, despite coming back from two goals down.

Man United 3-1 Sunderland – Boxing Day 2016

The infamous Henrik Mkhitaryan scorpion kick was scored in this fixture, as United cruised to victory in front of their own fans.

Stoke 2-0 Man United – Boxing Day 2015

The first defeat for United on this list saw Stoke beat them on Boxing Day in 2015, as they lost their fourth consecutive match to heap pressure on Louis van Gaal.

Man United 3-1 Newcastle – Boxing Day 2014

The third time United have played Newcastle on this list, they beat them at Old Trafford like in 2019, with Wayne Rooney scoring two goals.

Hull 2-3 Man United – Boxing Day 2013

A thrilling encounter against Hull saw United come back from two goals down to win 3-2, with Rooney again on the scoresheet.

Man United vs Aston Villa – Selected niche markets

Man United to win and BTTS – 3/1

Over United's previous 10 Boxing Day results, five times have they won while the other team have also scored. Villa are a formidable force right now, and are fully capable of finding the back of the net at Old Trafford, but with the crowd behind them, Erik ten Hag's side will be looking for a response after failing to score in their last three games in all competitions.

4 total goals exact – 4/1

Five of United's previous 10 Boxing Day fixtures have produced exactly four goals, and this one could be no different. Villa are among the highest scorers in the PL, so are capable of finding the net multiple times at Old Trafford, while United have scored at least twice at home in each of their fixtures in this festive run. This market also does not rely on one team winning, so if you fancy Villa to draw or win this match, this could be one for you.

Man United 3-1 Aston Villa correct score – 18/1

Over their last 10 Boxing Day results, the most common scoreline was a 3-1 United home win, so a repeat of this is one to look out for. Villa are currently flying in the table, so a United victory is certainly not guaranteed, especially by two clear goals. However, the Red Devils have won five home matches this season, only bettered by a few teams, while Villa have lost three away already, so who knows what this fixture could conjure up.
