Man City to win
When you're a side that is perhaps not quite ‘at it', which is exactly what Dortmund are having won just one of their last five in all competitions, then the last thing you want is to come up against is a team in sparkling form; that's where Man City come into the equation. The English Champions elect have won 26 of their past 27 matches. They've made it look pretty easy too with a comfortable aggregate win over Monchengladbach in the last round of the Champions League just two of those victories. That tie was supposed to be a banana skin; it wasn't. Dortmund have faced Monchengladbach twice on the domestic front since the turn of the year. They edged them out 1-0 a month ago but lost 4-2 in January.
Both teams to score
We've just mentioned that Dortmund aren't in the best form in our first prediction. That doesn't mean they won't be an offensive threat though. They will be; their last five games has seen them hit nine goals but they're even more lethal away from home. On the road, they've scored 12 in five giving them a game average of 2.4 goals scored per match. When was the last time they failed to score? September 26th; that was 38 games ago! As for Man City, a run of form that's seen them win 26 of 27 matches shows how frequently they find the net; Dortmund have shipped at least two goals in four of their past five games.
Erling Haaland to score
Some might say backing Erling Haaland to score at some point on Tuesday evening is a lazy prediction. Given how frequently he finds the net, we'd almost agree but it's not in our list of tips through laziness. Let's back it up with some stats. For starters, Haaland is far and away the Champions League's top scorer so far this year with 10 goals, which includes a brace in both legs of Dortmund's win over Sevilla in the last round. He's also got 10 in his last 10 matches at club level too. City will need to be at their best to keep him out.

Man City to continue fine form
There has been a lot of talk about Man City winning the quadruple this season. As always, the hardest of the prizes to win will be the Champions League. Many people see Dortmund as an easier route to the semi-finals for them with the Germans having a tough time of things as they sit fifth in the Bundesliga. Don't be fooled though, they will not roll over for Man City in this tie; the squad they have a more than capable of turning anybody over on their day. City will likely dominate much of the play but if there is so much as a sniff going in the opposite direction then Dortmund will take them apart. It will be a really intriguing watch.
