Here are our Championship predictions ahead of Huddersfield vs Leeds on Saturday. Leeds' excellent run of form has seen them move into second place where they are now putting pressure on the league leaders Leicester who currently sit six points clear of the Yorkshire club.

Huddersfield could really do with a win this weekend as they sit two points above the relegation places as things stand but they were comfortably beaten by Leeds when the pair locked horns back in October.

Key Stats

  • Over 2.5 goals have been produced in four of Huddersfield's last five outings, as well as in five of Leeds' last six fixtures.

  • Summerville top scores for Leeds this season with 15 league goals and has netted four goals in his last six appearances in all competitions.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Away win on the cards

  • HOME: 11/2 (6.50) – 15.4%
  • DRAW: 17/5 (4.40) – 22.7%
  • AWAY: 11/20 (1.55) – 64.5%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

Leeds are the expected winners of this game with a probability of 64.5%, and it's hard to argue against that given the overall performances of both clubs so far this season.

Huddersfield's form hasn't been that bad of late with the Terriers picking up three wins, one draw and suffering two defeats in their last six league games. However, Leeds head into this match on the back of five wins in their last six outings in league and cup and really have the bit between their teeth right now.

Player to watch – Crysencio Summerville

Leeds' young Dutch forward seems to have finally found his level in English football after making the move to Yorkshire from Feyenoord in 2020.

Last season, in the Premier League, Summerville showed signs of his talent but never enough to demand a regular slot in the starting eleven. However, since Leeds were relegated to the Championship, Summerville has shined, netting 15 league goals in 29 starts.

Finally delivering in a Leeds shirt

Not only has Summerville been scoring goals on a regular basis, the 22-year-old Dutchman has chipped in with eight assists, only Georginio Rutter has created more goals in a Leeds shirt so far this season.
