Italy Win-to-Nil

Italy have never conceded a goal against San Marino before, claiming two 4-0 and one 8-0 wins in the pair's previous three encounters. Italy have won each of their last six international matches without conceding a single goal, while San Marino have lost four of their last six fixtures and have failed to score in all of those six matches.

Under 6.5 Goals

While Italy ran out 8-0 winners the last time these two sides met, their previous two results against San Marino both ended in 4-0 wins and this game does come right at the end of a full Serie A season, so many of the players could be jaded. Italy haven't scored more than four goals in any of their last six international matches and San Marino haven't conceded more than five goals in any of their last six outings.

Ciro Immobile to Score 3+ Goals

Ciro Immobile is the top goalscorer in the Italy squad and he scored in Italy's last game against Lithuania and will fancy his chances of adding to his 12 international goals on Friday against one of the worst teams in Europe. The 31-year-old striker netted 20 league goals in Serie A for Lazio this season and remains one of Italy;s most potent attackers.

All the stats ahead of Italy vs San Marino

Italy to cruise past neighbours San Marino

Italy have selected some very familiar names for this friendly and could go with Sirigu or Donnarumma in goals, both of whom have over 20-caps for their country. In defence, Italy have called upon the experience of Chiellini and Bonucci and the centurions will be joined by Floenzi, Acerbi and Spinazzola in a backline that will be relatively untested by the San Marino forwards. Verratti and Barella offer the creativity in midfield, while up front Immobile, Insigne, Belotti, Bernardeschi, Chiesa and Kean will all be hoping to get on the field and score some goals during the 90-minutes.

San Marino are likely to go with the 26-times capped Benedettini in goal and boast experience in the defence in the form of Palazzi, who has 56-caps and 1-goal for his country. None of the midfielders have any goals to their name but the Golinucci brothers, Lundadei and Fabio Tomassini all have 20+ international caps. In attack, Vitaiolo will be hoping to add to his 1-goal in 62 appearances for San Marino this week and the only other striker with a single goal to his name is Berardi, who is probably their best player.
