Huddersfield welcome Southampton to the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday 23rd November as the Championship returns after the international break. The Saints have been in good form of late and have surged up to fourth in the table whereas Huddersfield are struggling near the bottom of the table so the game is of huge importance for both sides. Ahead of kick off, check out our football betting tips below.

Huddersfield vs Southampton prediction & free betting tips

Huddersfield's fortunes haven't improved since Neil Warnock walked away from the club earlier in the season and are struggling to find the back of the net with any level of regularity. Southampton are quite the opposite and are currently playing their best football of the season. We expect a comfortable away win to nil.

Also, check out our other Championship betting tips.

Huddersfield vs Southampton lineups and latest team news

Huddersfield

Huddersfield boss, Darren Moore will be hoping that the international break has given his side the time to do some much-needed work on the training pitch. Most of the squad stayed in Huddersfield over the break and Josh Koroma has used the time to increase his recovery from an injury that kept him out for several weeks before the break.

If Koroma is available then Moore will bring him straight into the starting lineup as he looks to find a way to get more goals in the side. In terms of other injuries, Ollie Turton and Danny Ward are still unavailable and will be out for several more weeks.

Predicted lineup

Nicholls – Jackson, Helik, Pearson, Lees, Nakayama – Wiles, Edmonds-Green, Hogg, Thomas – Koroma

Southampton

Southampton boss Russell Martin has overcome a rough start at Southampton boss and his side are now flying in the Championship. Last time out, Martin was without Jan Bendarek due to suspension but Mason Holgate did well in his place. Bednarek will likely come back into the starting lineup but Holgate will feel aggrieved.

At the other end of the pitch, Che Adams and Kamaldeen Sulemana will battle it out to lead the Southampton line alongside Adam Armstrong with the latter more likely to get the nod.

Predicted lineup

Bazunu – Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Harwood-Bellis, Bree- Charles, Downes – S.Armstrong, Alcaraz, A.Armstrong – Sulemana

Starting lineups

The official starting lineups will be revealed 60 minutes before the match starts.

Player to watch: Adam Armstrong

Adam Armstrong originally got his big move to Southampton due to his performances in the Championship for Blackburn Rovers and the centre-forward is showing his class once again in the division. He has nine goals to his name so far this season and will fancy adding to that on Saturday.
