The Swedish striker has barely featured for the Red Devils since returning from injury this season and his family have been spotted house hunting in Los Angeles.
LA Galaxy are favourites to sign the forward, whose deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of this season.
And an MLS move seems likely with Galaxy coach Sigi Schmidt addressing it as a possibility earlier this month.
“If it happens, it happens, and once it happens, then we'll give thought to it,” Schmidt told the MLS website.
“Obviously, he's been a successful player, he's won trophies everywhere he's been, but until it happens, I'm not going to worry about it.”
