Juventus forward Federico Chiesa has dismissed rumours that he is looking for a move away from Turin with Liverpool heavily linked with his services, according to Goal.com. Federico Chiesa turned out to be the hero for Juventus in the 1-0 win over Chelsea. After a slow start to the season, Massimiliano Allegri’s men are certainly good at a crucial juncture. Following a spectacular Euro 2020, Chiesa has seen his stock steadily grow over the last 12 months.
After coming through the Fiorentina youth ranks, Chiesa made the switch to Juventus on a two-year loan move. Juventus have the option to buy him for around €40 million along with €10 million in performance-related bonuses. Since the move to Turin, Chiesa has come up with many eye-catching performances. He has already come up with 11 assists and 17 goals in just 50 appearances for the club. These performances and figures have had his market value rise tremendously. At just 23 years of age, Chiesa is entering into the peak of his powers.
Liverpool have not spent much in the transfer market over the last few windows. Manager Jurgen Klopp is aware that the club need to strengthen in the forward areas so that a replacement for the famed trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane is found.
A player capable of playing in different positions across the front three, Chiesa fits in perfectly into the Liverpool requirements. After the mediocre start to the season and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, the mood around Juventus is not so great. However, Chiesa has confirmed that he is not looking for a departure from the club.
Aside from Liverpool, Chelsea are also rumoured to be considering the prospect of joining the race for Chiesa. Following the disappointing impact made by Timo Werner, Chelsea could be interested in cutting the losses and bringing in Chiesa.
