Fancy yourself as somewhat of an expert on the beautiful game?
If you’re a football buff then you can turn that knowledge into money. Not by having to predict a series of results (a very difficult proposition in an increasingly unpredictable sport), but by simply choosing a team made up of players you think will be able to make a telling contribution over 90 minutes – win, lose or draw.
Yahoo Sports Daily Fantasy Football doesn’t require you to commit to every single week like most fantasy football platforms, instead allowing you to pick which weeks you want to play and to enter whatever ‘Contest’ you fancy a go at.

With a full set of fixtures coming up this weekend, we look at four strikers you should consider choosing for your best XI.
Sergio Agüero – MANCHESTER CITY v Hull City
Price – £28
With only £200 to spend across 11 players in the game, Sergio Agüero is, unsurprisingly, a luxury purchase for Yahoo Fantasy Football managers. However, this weekend the Argentine might well deliver you a hatful of points.
Agüero’s position at Manchester City has come under threat this season from new signing Gabriel Jesus. But the 28-year-old has still managed 25 goals in all competitions for the Citizens, including four in his last five.
Considering he is up against a Hull City defence that has conceded more goals on the road than any other side in the division, there’s a strong chance that Agüero will put the Tigers’ backline to the sword.
There aren’t just points on offer for goals scored however, with two available for a shot on target and 0.5 for a shot attempted.
Agüero has averaged 3.8 shots per game this season, and 1.86 shots on target per game, so that’s a potential extra six points on offer, though you’d expect the striker to have more chances against Hull on Saturday.

Son Heung-min – TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Watford
Price – £18
When Harry Kane limped out of Tottenham’s FA Cup victory over Millwall last month the White Hart Lane faithful would have been forgiven for worrying that their side would struggle without him.
Three games, three wins and seven goals later, however, and Spurs aren’t having any problems without their talisman.
Son Heung-min has stepped up in his absence, scoring in his last two matches. Watford are their next opponents. Despite winning their last two, the Hornets have been inconsistent under Walter Mazzarri.
The South Korean has 16 goals in all competitions this season but can also provide for his teammates with three assists (4 points each) in the Premier League.
Marko Arnautovic – STOKE CITY v Liverpool
Price – £16
The Potters are in rotten form and without a win in their last four games, scoring just one goal in the process. But considering Liverpool’s inability of beating anyone outside of the top seven, Jürgen Klopp’s side could be the perfect opponents for Stoke City to get back to winning ways.
What’s more, the Reds have conceded comfortably more goals than anyone else within the top seven with 29 of those conceded against clubs from eighth downwards.
If any of Stoke’s forward’s are to make an impact on Saturday then Marko Arnautovic is a prime candidate. The Austrian has scored six goals for Mark Hughes’ side this term while his four assists are the joint highest for Stoke this season.
His 1.96 shots per game and 0.6 shots on target per game are the lowest of this list. But at just £16 the 27-year-old represents great value this weekend.
Joshua King – BOURNEMOUTH v Chelsea
Price – £15
The champions-elect may have the joint-meanest defence on the road this season but Bournemouth are on a five-match unbeaten run and have scored plenty of goals this season.
The Cherries have scored more goals than any side outside of the top seven – as well as Manchester United – with Joshua King contributing 12.
The south coast club’s top scorer has also found the net eight times in the previous eight games, including a smart finish to deny Liverpool three points at Anfield on Wednesday night.
It’s also worth noting that Chelsea haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in the league since a 2-0 win over Hull on January 22.
At the bargain price of £15, the Norwegian international is an excellent addition to your Yahoo Fantasy XI.
