There are certainly signs of summer in the air this week, which means two things to football fans — firstly, we’re entering the business end of the season, and secondly the transfer window is just around the corner.
With the rumour mill hotting up, we've scoured the continent’s media to bring you the latest transfer news.

Tottenham have offered their Argentine forward Erik Lamela to Inter Milan. The 25-year-old hasn’t appears for Spurs since November, and has started just six games for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season. (Corriere dello Sport)
Lyon’s talented young midfielder Corentin Tolisso, a target of Juventus, is also being monitored by Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The 22-year-old Frenchman has scored six goals and assisted three for the Ligue 1 side this season. (Calciomercato)
The Italian champions are also interested in Real Madrid’s 21-year-old starlet Marco Asensio. The winger has struggled for game time at the Santiago Bernabéu this season, however it is thought Los Blancos will still demand around €50million for the player. (Tuttosport)
Paris Saint-Germain will seek to test Chelsea’s resolve over Diego Costa’s future with an offer of a swap deal involving midfielder Javier Pastore. Antonio Conte is an admirer of the Argentine who is currently out of favour at the Parc des Princes, and the Blues may be willing to sacrifice their top scorer in order to capture the 27-year-old’s signature. Manchester United have intensified their efforts to sign Napoli forward Dries Mertens, with the Old Trafford club offering the Belgian nearly €5million a year after tax. The 29-year-old has hit 25 goals for the Partenopei in Serie A and the Champions League this season, and is currently in negotiations with the Italian club over a new deal. (La Repubblica)
Juventus will seek a ‘Cuadrado-style- loan deal for former transfer target Andre Gomes this summer. The Old Lady missed out on the Portugal international last summer, with the player joining Barcelona instead, but the 23-year-old has not been a regular starter for the La Liga club. (Tuttosport)
Schalke 04’s 23-year-old full-back Sead Kolasinac, who has been linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks, has reached a verbal agreement to join AC Milan. (Calciomercato)
Meanwhile the Rossoneri have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in their sights, with the Serie A giants considering the Dortmund player their top striking target this summer, though the Gabon international has also been heavily linked with Real Madrid. (Corriere dello Sport)
Should Alexis Sanchez leave Arsenal at the end of this season, the Gunners want Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as his replacement. It is perceived that the Frenchman has failed to impress with the European champions this season, despite scoring 16 goals, and the club could be keen to offload the 29-year-old to make room for other targets, such as Aubameyang and Sergio Aguero. Barcelona have reduced the shortlist for their new manager to just two names: current assistant manager Juan Carlos Unzue and Athletic Bilbao head coach Ernesto Valverde. Former Arsenal attacking midfielder Robert Pires has urged Kylian Mbappe to stay at Monaco, with the 18-year-old’s performances this season attracting interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
“He is young and I think that the best thing for him would be to continue at Monaco for a couple of years more, to continue playing. He is not going to lack offers in the future,” said Pires (Marca)
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and CEO Jose Angel Sanchez met with the agent of Palmeiras’ talented youngster Alan Souza Guimaraes. The midfielder, known as ‘Alan’, has represented Brazil at youth level, but the 17-year-old will not be able to leave Brazil until his 18th birthday next year. (Marca)
Fabio Coentrao has admitted that he is ‘in no condition to play for Real Madrid’. The left-back has rarely featured for Zinedine Zidane’s side this season due to injury problems, and despite the fact his current deal runs until 2019, the one-time Manchester United target may leave the Bernabeu in the summer. Marseille are interested in Liverpool’s French goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. The 29-year-old has a contract with the Premier League club until 2021, but he has come under fire over the last two seasons for a number of high profile mistakes. (Sport.FR)
