Euro 2021 Group F

Euro 2021 Group F – our tips and associated odds

Many are calling this one the most difficult group of them all, and with good reason. Group F consists of France, Germany, Portugal, and Hungary. It’s going to be an incredibly interesting group to follow, that’s for sure, and we have managed to come up with our own Euro 2021 tips of Group F ahead of the event:

With the games still being a few weeks away at the time of writing, it’s highly likely that the odds will adjust based on market activity and news updates. For that reason, before assuming these odds will hold true, we’d encourage you to check the mentioned markets at the associated bookmakers.

France to win vs Germany

With this being the opening Group F game, it’s going to have some fireworks – that’s for sure. Both have great teams, but we feel France has the edge, with guys like Mbappe, Giroud, Griezmann, and Benzema all expected to play.

Portugal to win vs Hungary

Hungary has a decent team, there’s no denying that, but Portugal has a very strong side for this year's event. Of course, guys like Ronaldo can score goals almost at will, and we can’t see how Hungary will manage to contain Portugal’s strikers – not enough to avoid a loss anyway!

Portugal to win vs Germany

Many have Germany down to come through Group F, with wins expected to come from these kinds of games. But we believe that Portugal has a team that plays very well together, and with it being Ronaldo’s last Euros (potentially), he’s going to play super hard!

Outright bets for Euro 2021 Group F

Each team will play three matches in Group F, and when all is said and done, we will know which team has won the group, who has qualified, and who is going home. This is what you can bet on in the outright markets, as identified below.

Not qualify

It will take a brave soul to pick any of these outright markets with any degree of certainty, but to not qualify, this is one of the easier ones to go for. If you back both Portugal and Germany not to qualify, there’s a fair chance that one of them will fit the bill, but the 3rd place rule is important to think about too. We wouldn’t say France is a potential candidate not to qualify!

To qualify

It goes without saying that France, Germany, and Portugal all have a chance to qualify. While we feel that Portugal has a better chance to qualify through the group over Germany, you don’t have to put all of your eggs in one basket. With that said, Portugal has a strong chance to qualify due to the 3rd place rule in this year’s competition – where the top 4, third-place teams will also go through, hence the pretty low odds.

Win group

At odds well over 2.00 at most bookmakers, going for France to win the group is a sensible choice. They have an awesome team, and if they manage to wriggle past Germany in the group opener, things will be looking very promising for France to finish at the top of the group.

Other Euro 2021 Group F bets to think about

Now you’ve read through plenty of our tips and predictions for this group, there’s a chance you’re still not convinced on what to wager on. We understand, which is why you may also want to browse through some of these alternative bets:

  • To reach a certain stage

With the Euro 2021 event being a knockout competition, most bookmakers are providing options for what round a team might make it to. This is rather unique, and it’s sure to maintain your interests across the board if you select a few different teams.

  • Total team goals

This is also a rather interesting one. There are different markets related to every single team in the competition, and since Group F is so competitive, there are some pretty great odds available. Of course, the deeper a team goes in the competition, the more goals they are likely to rack up – so keep this in mind.

  • Finalists

If you want to shoot for some incredible returns, why not try and pick which teams will be involved in the final? Major bookmakers are providing paired markets for this one, with the lowest odds being in the region of 20.00. How about those for returns?
