England predicted lineup vs Brazil analysis: Jordan Henderson starts?

Our England predicted lineup vs Brazil predominantly features Gareth Southgate's tried and trusted players, with an abundance of talent on show in all areas of the pitch. This is the first of two friendlies for the Three Lions in preparation for Euro 2024 this summer, with Belgium to visit Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.

Nonetheless, we have analysed how England may line up against Brazil on Saturday evening, and thrown in some potential betting markets to look out for involving certain players, and the odds of those coming into fruition:

Goalkeeper & Defenders

In goal is likely to be Jordan Pickford, who has 58 senior England caps and counting. He has started England's last three games, and played in every major international tournament since the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The full-backs are likely to be Kyle Walker and Ben Chilwell, with John Stones and Harry Maguire as the centre-backs.

Maguire is solid in the air, as he won three aerial duels on average per game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, more than any England player. He has scored 19 headers in his club career, including one for Manchester United earlier this season, and a few for England too. Thus, we would back him to do the same against Brazil, especially at the generous odds given.

Harry Maguire is 16/1 to score a header vs Brazil.

Declan Rice and Jordan Henderson are likely to anchor the midfield for England, with 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo only just called up to the senior team and unlikely to be thrown in from the start. Henderson would be a controversial pick given his decision to play in the less-competitive Saudi Pro League, before moving to Ajax on loan in the January transfer window. Jude Bellingham is likely to play in a more advanced role with the two sitting behind, like he does with Real Madrid at club level.

Bellingham has been a sensation since moving to Spanish football, scoring 20 goals in all competitions from midfield already, and he has a chance of finishing as La Liga's top scorer in his debut season with 16 league goals so far. Nonetheless, going up against his Real teammates Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr, Bellingham has extra motivation to get on the scoresheet for his country, something he has only managed to do twice at senior level.

Jude Bellingham is 4/1 to score anytime vs Brazil.

England vs Brazil prediction

The attack is where England's biggest and best talents lie, with Phil Foden likely to be the chief source of support for Harry Kane on Saturday. The duo have both reached double figures for goals in all competitions this season, while producing plenty of assists between them too. With Bukayo Saka pulling out of the squad through injury, we could see Marcus Rashford complete the front three.

Kane getting on the scoresheet is always a safe bet, especially considering he boasts 37 goals already in his debut season at Bayern Munich. Nine of those have been as first goalscorer, and so we would not back against him to open the scoring at Wembley. Kane is England's record goalscorer too, which makes him even more likely to find the back of the net.

Harry Kane is 19/5 to score first vs Brazil.
