Dusan Vlahovic next club: Latest odds for Juventus striker

His name often gets tossed around during the transfer window of summer 2023, but which is likely to be the Dusan Vlahovic next club?

The Serbian goalscoring maestro didn’t enjoy the best World Cup in Qatar and his overall stats with Juventus during the 2022/23 season weren’t up to par, but he remains one of the most desired strikers around.

After a four-year spell with Fiorentina where he made 98 appearances and scored 44 goals, Vlahovic had no other option but to sign with a more prestigious club.

Juventus were the one who provided him with a stage on which his talent can truly be unfolded. His debut season with the Old Lady ended in 42 official matches and 17 goals.

With a market value of €70m, there’s no way an established finisher such as Vlahovic can spend a whole season without participating in the top European tournaments.

Dusan has the ambition of participating at the highest possible level, but with Juventus being denied access to the Conference League, the 23-year-old Serbian will surely try to open a new chapter in his professional career.

But who are the top candidates to be the Dusan Vlahovic next club? Will he even leave Turin? Let’s see what the latest odds look like.

  • Chelsea – 17/20
  • To stay at Juventus – 2/1
  • Bayern Munich – 3/1
  • PSG – 3/1

Chelsea – 17/20

The news regarding Vlahovic’s departure intensifies, as Chelsea’s boss Todd Boehly looks to boost his club’s attacking line. The latest information is that a sensational swap between the two clubs is currently being discussed. Romelu Lukaku isn’t needed by manager Pochettino, but Massimiliano Allegri is surely an admirer of Romelu.

Dusan Vlahovic wants to get a piece of Premier League action. He already admitted that on multiple occasions in the past. However, the market value of the two players isn’t comparable. Vlahovic has his whole career ahead of him while Lukaku’s is mostly over.

That’s why transfer rumours have it that a player-plus-cash deal is expected to tempt the Old Lady into parting ways with the 23-year-old Serbian. No official offer has been made yet, so we’ll have to wait and see if Vlahovic will truly arrive at Stamford Bridge.

To stay at Juventus – 2/1

If the deal with the Blues from London falls apart, then Dusan will most likely spend the next season defending the Old Lady’s honour in Serie A. As you’ll see in a bit, the next couple of candidates either have other transfer plans in mind or don’t have the financial capacities to support such a move.

A key reason behind Dusan’s decision to stay in Italy might be the fact that he’d be the leader of Juventus’ project during the 2023/24 season. And that’s not something any other team can guarantee him.

Bayern Munich – 3/1

As we said earlier, other clubs have also shown interest in the Serbian goalscorer, but they have other transfer priorities. Such is the case with Bavarian giants Bayern. Thomas Tuchel has Harry Kane on his mind, as Bayern Munich already tried tempting Spurs on three occasions. The latest offer for the Tottenham Hotspur all-time goalscorer included a €85m guaranteed plus an additional performance-related €10m.

And while no one can deny the fact that Dusan Vlahovic has a bright future ahead of him, it hardly comes as a surprise that Harry Kane is the more desirable finisher for most managers. However, should this deal fall through, coach Tuchel’s attention might just swiftly turn south, as the German manager will need to boost his attack sooner rather than later. After all, Senegalese legend Sadio Mane just left the club leaving a giant hole in the attack.

PSG – 3/1

Another club on the hunt for a decent goalscorer. With Kylian Mbappe strong-arming the club for more financial benefits and football legend Lionel Messi opening a new chapter in his professional career in Miami, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is determined to find difference-makers elsewhere.

PSG already added Marco Asensio and Hugo Ekitike to their portfolio, but a move on Dusan Vlahovic is certainly still on the table. However, the news of this potential deal didn’t impress PSG’s fans who even threatened to cut Vlahovic’s fingers should he decide to come to Paris. Such sort of negativity is surely not something a professional player wants to have, so we find it difficult to believe that the Serbian will want to join PSG.
