Spain to win

Spain have won eight of their nine previous encounters with Czech Republic

Spain have already booked their place at Euro 2025 after winning each of their opening for qualifiers in League A Group 2.

The Czech Republic provide the opposition for Montserrat Tomé's side on Friday where the hosts will be looking to secure their first win of the qualifiers after opening with three defeats and one draw.

Spain will head into this game as the bookmakers' pick to win and it's hard to see this game ending in anything but victory for the visitors.

Czech Republic vs Spain Women prediction: Another comfortable win for Spain

Key Stats

  • Spain have won each of their opening four Euro 2025 qualifiers.
  • Czech Republic have lost three of their four matches in League A Group 2.
  • Jennifer Hermoso joint-top scores for Spain in the Euro 2025 qualifiers with three goals and has 56 goals in 115 caps for her country.

Spain secured a 3-1 victory when these two countries locked horns in April's reverse qualifier and have scored at least three goals in each of their last four games against Friday's hosts, while the Czechs have scored in each of their last six matches across all competitions.

Czech Republic preview: Without a win in qualifying

The Czech Republic ended their losing start to qualifying when they picked up a point against Belgium last time out.

AC Milan midfielder Kamila Dubcová fired the Czech Republic in front in the 19th minute and the visitors held firm for the majority of the match but did eventually concede an equaliser 12 minutes from time.

That point keeps the Czech Republic's hopes of qualifying alive but they simply have to win their last two games to stand any chance of making it to Switzerland next summer.

Predicted lineup: Lukášová (GK), Bertholdová, Bartoňová, Šlajsová, Khýrová, Cahynová, Krejčiříková, Dědinová, Dubcová, Szewieczková & Černá

Spain preview: Looking to maintain a 100% record

Spain had to come from two goals behind to maintain their 100% start to qualifying when they played host to Denmark last month.

The three points seemed destined to leave with the Danes after two goals from Janni Thomsen in the 4th and 72nd minute handed the visitors a commanding lead.

However, Bruna Vilamala and Irene Paredes both scored within the space of two minutes to get Spain back onto level terms and in stoppage time, Lucia Garcia scored a dramatic winner for the hosts, stunning the travelling Danish fans into silence.

Predicted lineup: Misa (GK), Ouahabi, Paredes, Aleixandri, Hernández, Méndez, Putellas, Hermoso, Navarro, Paralluelo & del Castillo

Player to watch – Jennifer Hermoso

Spain's veteran forward Jennifer Hermoso has impressed in qualifying for Euro 2025 netting three goals in the opening four matches.

The 34-year-old has scored 56 goals in 115 caps for her country and is likely to take part in her final international tournament next summer. Now playing her club football in Mexico, Hermoso was a star player for Barcelona where she scored 86 goals in 100 appearances across all competitions and still remains at the top of her game when pulling on the red shirt for Spain.

Will Spain's all-time top-scorer add to her tally on Friday?

We're backing Hermoso to find the back of the net against the Czech republic, helping to guide Spain to yet another three points.
