Match Preview, Team Information, and Crystal Palace vs Millonarios Lineups
Crystal Palace
The start of the Premier League season is only a few weeks away and there is still no significant news on the transfers front regarding Crystal Palace which makes the club's supporters all together quite nervous. Jefferson Lerma is the only new arrival and that was a free transfer after his contract with Bournemouth had expired. In another uncomfortable news, Chelsea has started a bidding war for the talented France U21 international Michael Olise who is recovering from a knee injury suffered at the EURO's last month. Manchester City is also interested in the young winger. Crystal Palace won their last two friendly matches.
Provisional lineup: Guaita, Guehi, Andersen, Mitchell, Clyne, Doucoure, Lerma, Schlupp, Ebiowei, Ayew, Mateta.
Millonarios
The Colombian side is in the middle of its domestic championship. They are the current champions in their country and have played in the Copa Libertadores this year. There aren't many friendly matches that Millonarios have played in recent weeks because of their obligations domestically, but they did have one game in which they defeated Atletico Nacional with a single goal. The latter is the only team in Colombian that won more league titles than Millonarios. Goalkeeper Alvaro Montero and defender Andres Llinas are the most valuable assets for the team who are looking to add another trophy to their cabinet.
Provisional lineup: Montero, Arias, Vargas, Llinas, Perlaza, Vasquez, Giraldo, Valencia Mena, Silva, Catano, Castro.
Player to Watch: Malcolm Ebiowei
At this point, there is somewhat of a certainty that a lot of young Crystal Palace players will get their shot at first-team football as the new season approaches. The club's lack of transfer activity suggests there isn't much money to be spent and players like Malcolm Ebiowei could get an unexpected chance of getting significant minutes.
Ebiowei spent last season on loan at Hull City where he failed to score a goal in 12 appearances. Earlier in his career he played for Derby County where he got on the scoresheet once in 16 matches. However, Ebiowei is only 19 years old and there is a belief that he could put himself on notice while being given a proper chance at Crystal Palace.
Starting lineups
Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.
