Chelsea transfer targets, rumours and odds: Sancho to Chelsea rumours are hotting up

Looking for the latest Chelsea transfer betting tips? We've got you covered in this article.

Chelsea have been lavish spenders under Todd Boehly's ownership, with over £1.5 billion having been splashed on new players, with a lot of them seemingly being overpriced and not making a huge impact on the first team.

So, we are going to delve into the transfer rumours and see who the Blues are being linked with.

Despite this and them seemingly being no closer to the top than before he bought the club, January looks set to be a busy month. This is because Mauricio Pochettino has recently told the media he wishes to sign a couple of new players to help his side this season and try to move up the table.

Chelsea transfer targets, rumours and odds

Pochettino will be looking for more goals

Despite spending a lot of money on attacking players such as Nicolas Jackson, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku – although the latter has just returned from injury – they find themselves sitting in eighth place regarding goals scored.

So, with Jackson struggling to convert a lot of the chances he's been presented with, scoring just seven league goals despite boasting an xG of 10.6, targetting a new striker or a versatile forward will be at the top of Pochettino's wishlist, especially with the Senegal man jetting off to AFCON 2023.

Chelsea are looking to splash the cash

Chelsea are looking to spend money as they are seemingly willing to sell their club captain and academy product, Conor Gallagher, as a way to abide by Financial Fair Play rules, and thus, be able to fund a more luxurious player.

While Chelsea are still 12 points off the top four, if they can find a reliable striker to complement their countless wingers and creative sparks, they can certainly make a late push, or at least secure a Europa League spot.

Chelsea transfer betting tips – Latest odds

Jadon Sancho 6/1 (7.0)

It's been a shocking time for Jadon Sancho since he left Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United, registering just 15 league goal involvements, but this season took an even worse turn, being forced to stay away from the first team.

His actions and apparent off-field decisions have seemingly not been enough to put off Chelsea who are one of the favourites to make a move for Sancho. If Pochettino could get the best out of Sancho and help him rediscover his Dortmund form, then this could turn out to be a very smart deal, especially with how misfiring Chelsea's wingers have been this season.

Victor Osimhen 5/1 (6.0)

Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers in Europe right now and has been for the past 12-18 months. The Nigerian striker has been in red-hot form since the beginning of last season when he finished as the top scorer in Serie A.

Osimhen is a wanted man by both clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia. Manchester United and Chelsea have been tipped to make a move, but with the Blues having significantly more money to spend, Stamford Bridge looks like a much more likely landing spot; he does have an eye-watering £115 million release clause Bohely must activate if he wants to sign the striker.

Ivan Toney 3/1 (4.0)

Despite not kicking a ball all season, a lot of the transfer talk for Premier League clubs and fans has been to do with Ivan Toney. Since he arrived on the Premier League scene Toney has scored 32 goals but has been banned so far this campaign due to breaches of the FA's rules on betting.

Toney has been heavily linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea who are desperate for a new striker and one that can hold the ball up and be reliable in the final third. It's believed that Brentford will demand at least £80 million to sell Toney this month, so a summer move looks much more likely.

Jean-Clair Todibo 3/1 (4.0)

Jean-Clair Todibo is a wanted man this month with Tottenham Hotspur having already attempted to land his signature, although they couldn't agree on a transfer fee. However, Chelsea may feel forced into paying an inflated fee due to their ongoing injuries in defence.

The likes of Reece James, Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell have spent time on the sidelines, forcing centre-backs into unnatural wide positions.

So, recruiting a young defender ready to naturally take over from Thiago Silva, reduce his workload and give Pochettino further options during an injury crisis could be sensible, despite the focus being on the attacking positions.
