The Champions League first goalscorer predictions are back with the round of 16 taking centre stage this week with all the favourites expected to win. The draw has been quite favourable for the sides battling to win the entire competition, so let's take a look at who could get the first goal across the four games.
4 Champions League first goalscorer predictions
Erling Haaland first goalscorer odds vs Copenhagen – 2/1 (3.0)
After missing a bunch of games with Manchester City due to injury, of course Erling Haaland returned with two goals in a win over Everton at the weekend. Once again, the Norwegian is the outright top scorer in the Premier League, and he is also already top of the Champions League goalscoring charts too, alongside Antoine Griezmann, Alvaro Morata and Rasmus Hojlund.
This no doubt strikes fear into a Copenhagen side, who despite beating Manchester United to get to this stage of the competition, are no doubt one of the worst teams left in the competition. In fact, the draw couldn't have been much kinder to Haaland and co.
Kylian Mbappe first goalscorer odds vs Real Sociedad – 9/4 (3.25)
Another excellent goalscoring season from the unstoppable Kylian Mbappe sees the Paris Saint-Germain superstar sitting on 20 Ligue 1 goals in 19 games, six goals in three French Cup matches and three within six in the Champions League. It does mean Mbappe is heading towards his best-ever goalscoring season, should he keep up this form and head deeper into the Champions League.
Harry Kane first goalscorer odds vs Bayern Munich – 11/4 (3.75)
Although Harry Kane fired a blank last time out in the stunning 3-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, the Englishman still has a stunning tally of 24 league goals alongside his four finishes in the Champions League.
Kane and Bayern Munich head to Rome this Wednesday to meet with a struggling Lazio side, as the Serie A giants have now lost eight games already in the league. Lazio also struggled in their group stage campaign, losing to Feyenoord and Atletico Madrid and letting in seven goals from six games, and this will no doubt fire Kane right up.
Jude Bellingham first goalscorer odds vs Newcastle – 5/2 (3.5)
Just behind Haaland, Morata and Hojlund in the goalscoring charts sits Jude Bellingham, who continues to impress beyond belief in his debut season at Real Madrid. The Englishman carried on his goalscoring form last time out with a brace against Girona that moved Real five clear of the second-placed side and Bellingham closer to his first-ever league title.
The former Borussia Dortmund man has scored two of his Champions League goals against the Serie A champions Napoli so far, including a stunning solo run over in Naples that is no doubt a contender for goal of the season in the competition.
Bellingham is away to RB Leipzig for this round of 16 battle, and Leipzig head into this game after a 2-2 draw away to strugglers Augsburg.
