Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that he does not think about Real Madrid potentially bringing in Kylian Mbappe in the remaining few days of the transfer window, according to Goal.com. Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid now that he has only one year left on his contract and PSG have brought another superstar in the form of Lionel Messi – albeit at 34 and on a free transfer.
Mbappe has so far been very quiet about his intentions to stay at PSG and he has not opened talks about a new contract just yet. The French international is one of the hottest properties in world football at 22 years of age. However, PSG are risking the prospect of losing him for significantly less than the market value of more than £200 million. There is less than 12 months left on the player’s contract.
Ancelotti, who has returned to the Santiago Bernabeu for a second spell, is keen on focusing on his current squad rather than getting excited about the potential arrivals. PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino remains confident that Mbappe will stay at the club. So far, Mbappe has been instrumental in all three matches for PSG even if the likes of Neymar and Messi have not been available. Even in these three matches, Mbappe has come up with two assists and a goal.
The signing of Messi changes the complete dynamic about Mbappe. Pochettino now has an embarrassment of riches that might be quite hard to handle. The presence of offensive players at PSG looks remarkable thanks to names like Lionel Messi, Angel di Maria, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe. It is highly likely that one of these stars will end up departing the Parc des Princes owing to various reasons. Due to the rapport shared by the South Americans stars, the odd name in the list is certainly Mbappe.
