Belgium to Win

We've backed the world's No.1 team to beat Croatia on Sunday but we're expecting a close and competitive 90-minutes at the Stade Roi Baudouin. Belgium have won two of their last four encounters with Croatia. The hosts are unbeaten in their last six international matches, picking up four wins and two draws, while Croatia have lost three of their last six outings.

Over 2.5 Goals

At least three goals have been scored in three of Belgium's last five fixtures, including a massive 8-0 victory over Belarus. Three of Croatia's last six games have also seen over 2.5 goals scored, most recently in their encounters with Malta in the World Cup Qualifiers which produced a 3-0 win. When these two countries meet, the goals often flow. Three of their last five head-to-heads have produced over 2.5 goals, including their last meetings in 2013 which ended 2-1 to Belgium.

BTTS

We're backing both teams to get on the scoreboard in this friendly as three of the pair's last four clashes have seen both teams score. Both teams have also scored in four of Belgium's last five fixtures and in three of Croatia's last six outings, so you can see why we don't believe there will be any clean sheets come the final whistle this weekend.

Belgium the favourites to beat Croatia

Belgium were held to a 1-1 draw by Greece last time out but didn't play their best starting eleven and made a number of changes at half-time and throughout the second forty-five which interrupted their flow somewhat. Lukaku played the first half before being replaced by Batshuayi but Belgium were 1-0 up by that point thanks to a goal from Thorgan Hazard. Greece equalised in the 66th-minute through 33-year-old defender Tzavellas and managed to hold on for what was a very good result against one of the favourites for the European Championship.

Croatia were also held to a 1-1 draw in their first warm-up game but the difference this time was that they played their best starting eleven and still only managed to be one-goal up at the break through Perisic. Brekalo picked up an injury and had to be substituted in the 26th-minute, while Vlasic, Vida, Modric and Vrsaljko were all replaced at half-time. Armenia equalised in the 72nd-minute through one of their own subs, Angulo, and the hosts were unable to produce a late winner.
