Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hinted that the Gunners could be bringing in more players on transfer deadline day, according to Goal.com. The 2021 January window has been quite busy for Arsenal, as the club has had some substantial changes to the squad in recent weeks. After the departure of players like Mesut Ozil and Sokratis following mutual termination of their contracts, Arsenal brought in Mat Ryan and Martin Odegaard. Both players have come to the Emirates stadium on loan deals from Brighton and Real Madrid respectively.

The departures from Arsenal do not seem to have completed, as Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been linked with a loan move, while Mustafi is on the radar of Liverpool. The latter might not take place anymore, as the Reds have signed Ben Davies from Preston.

Arteta, though, has claimed that there could be more arrivals at the Emirates stadium on the last day of the 2021 January window. The Gunners manager has been able to oversee a steady upturn in results after a difficult start to the campaign. The club was able to get a goalless draw against Manchester United, who are fighting for the league title, in the latest league encounter. This result extended Arsenal’s unbeaten run to 7 matches in the league.

The transfer window will be shut when Arsenal take on Wolves in the next league encounter. The bloated squad at Arsenal has given a difficult time for manager Arteta, as he has struggled to provide game time for the likes of Reiss Nelson and many other players. It has been rumoured that Reiss Nelson would be moving to a Championship team on a loan deal. This could be another move which could happen on the final day of the window. There are not be any significant arrivals at the Emirates Stadium. Even if it should happen, it is likely to be on loan.
